iPad Air 4 'Liquid Detected' warning despite drying and using Apple charger

Hi all I’ve a liquid detected problem

My iPad Air 4 keeps giving me a “Liquid Detected” warning when I try to charge it — even after it’s been sitting upright in a warm room for over 24 hours.

✅ Apple plug used

❓ Unsure if the cable is Apple certified

🔋 Charge goes up a bit (e.g. 15%) then the warning pops up again

📴 iPad fully shut down during charging

I’ve heard non-Apple cables can give false liquid alerts — has anyone had that happen?

Did changing cable or charger fix it, or was it a port issue in the end?

Any tips or shared experiences would be a big help — don’t want to waste money heading of to the Apple Store if it’s just the cable!
