Problem with DVD Player frame rate using new Tahoe OS

I upgraded to Tahoe this weekend, and was immediately discouraged when I tried to play an .iso file from a ripped DVD using Tahoe's new DVD Player application. The frame rate sampling looks to be about 50 percent of normal, and there are no visible settings that could correct the problem. I have ripped nearly my entire DVD library to local hard drives, so this is a show-stopper for me. Proof positive that upgrades rarely improve an operating system for the end-user.

What are the chances of this being rectified in a future update? Thanks!

Feedback sent. In the meantime you can download VLC and watch DVD’s flawlessly on that until Apple fix DVD Player.app : which I suspect they have silently deprecated so perhaps will not fix.
