2) Delete the Apple Watch app on my iPhone
3) Reinstall the Apple Watch app on my iPhone
Question: After reinstalling the Apple Watch app on my iPhone.
Will my currently existing apple watch backups be on my iPhone after the reinstall?
I backup my phone to my MBP using Finder and iCloud for my apple watch.

If you’ve ever removed an app before you should have noticed the warning that states all data will be removed as well. So why do you want to delete the Watch app? What is happening that makes you think removing the Watch app will fix something?
Since updating to IOS 26 my watches no longer sync with airplane mode, apple support had me unpair and re-pair my watch which did not fix the issue. Today I also noticed my shared trip notification in (Apple) Maps was not working. Turns out that Maps was not even in the notifications list. I deleted the Maps app and after reinstalling, Maps then showed up in the notifications list and works correctly.

Reinstalling the Watch app is unlikely to solve any issue. If you have already preformed a forced restart on your iPhone then you may have to consider a complete restore to factory settings.
