Why does my iPhone 17 show the message “That device isn’t eligible for a new AppleCare plan” when I try to purchase AppleCare+?


The iPhone 17 was released no earlier than September 19, so regardless of which channel I purchased it from, it should still be well within the 60-day eligibility period.


And I checked my iPhone information on the Apple Support website,which shows “Purchased on September 23, 2025.”

It depends. If you purchased this used, it may already have been assigned to an AppleCare+ plan. Check with the seller. Or, if you purchased it new, check with Apple Support directly.
