How to turn off find my iPhone I think my phone is tapped

I can’t turn off find my iPhone at all, it just stays permanently held on , I can’t even click on the button, all calls are being forwarded too and the number you type into your keypad that worked in the past doesn’t disable it now

Check these possibilities:

● If an app or feature on your device is not working, not appearing, or is restricted (grayed out), a frequent reason is it may have been disabled using Screen Time, or by a technology administrator if you are using a device owned by an employer or educational institution.

- Read this support article If your Apple ID or other options are greyed out in Settings —> If your Apple Account is grayed out in Settings, or you can't sign out - Apple Support

Tap your Settings app > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > scroll to Allow Changes and turn on.

- If the device is managed (check: Settings > General > VPN (or Profiles & Device Management), contact the technology department of the organization that is doing the managing.

The other contributors have given sound advice regarding the greyed-out switch. As for the other screens, they don't mean anything- GSM shortcodes are just a quick way to display certain phone carrier settings, like call forwarding. The reason it says 'failed' is likely because carriers often have their own shortcodes for settings like these, so this display is irrelevant and has nothing to show. Regardless, call forwarding isn't a way to tap phone lines; it simply sends calls to the number and wouldn't ring on the phone forwarding the call.

If you're curious about call forwarding and shortcodes, check with your specific carrier. For example:

  • Verizon uses [ *73 ], stay on the line until all the beeps play and it automatically hangs up
  • T-Mobile uses [ ##004# ] to reset call forwarding settings to default
