In the new OS 26 can I color code notes in Notes app on MacBook?
I can color code Folders in Finder but how about this functionality in Notes?

If by “colour code” you mean “apply different background colours to each note” or “tag notes with a colour so they appear differently in the list”, then no — not as a dedicated built-in feature.
If by “colour code” you mean “use colours in the note (text colour / highlight)” then yes, you can.
Yes — you can apply colour-based formatting to text inside individual notes in Notes on your Mac (with macOS Tahoe / version 26).

Probably not really what you're looking for, but there is the Stickes app that's included with macOS.

Thank you for your response. To confirm.. I was hoping Notes could be color coded like the new folders option in OS 26. It seems not so I will submit a feature request to Apple 🙂
