Random greyed out folders in my hard drive

So, these files keep showing up in my hard drive. I'm on Sonoma 14.8.1. I don't know if deleting these would cause issues or whatever so i've just left them. They're super annoying tho lol. If anyone knows what to do, pls do tell!! thnx :)

even if i can have a solution to just hide them, that would be good too!!

When looking at a Finder window showing those folders, simultaneously press the Shift-Command-Period keys.

Those folders are supposed to be hidden by default. The shift-command-period key combination will unhide and hide those and all other files and folders that are supposed to be hidden.


Not sure why they are visible now. Maybe you accidentally pressed that key combo at some point.


If the OS would let you delete them, then yes, you would have big problems. Fortunately, you cannot delete them.
