Inside the Library folder, look for folders/files associated with WhatsApp. Some common paths:
~/Library/Application Support/WhatsApp/
~/Library/Group Containers/group.net.whatsapp.WhatsApp.shared
~/Library/Caches/WhatsApp
~/Library/Preferences/WhatsApp.plist
Note: Be careful only to delete items you’re sure belong to WhatsApp.
Empty the Trash again after removing those files.
Hi Owl
Nothing in any of your suggested folders. As I said before I found stuff in ~/Library/Group Containers/group.net.whatsapp.WhatsApp.shared but am afraid of deleting some other stuff being used by Apple.
Any further ideas?
Thanks
Mike
FWIW, you can delete any files containing the word whatsapp.
Thanks Dialabrain and Owl. Fingers crossed eh? Cheers Mike
You're welcome.
Oh My Goodness Owl, there are tons of WhatsApp files scattered all over my Mac. I will be so pleased to get rid of the Pesky App. Find any File is amazing.
Cheers
Mike
You are welcome
