iOS 26.0.1 Home Screen wallpaper blur effect not working with Reduce Transparency

My Home Screen is blurred (as intended).

In Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size and toggle on "Reduce Transparency".

The blur on the Home Screen is gone, replaced by a solid colored background.

I expected to only reduce the transparency of the new UI (not turn off the blur).

Seems you are unable to reduce transparency, and keep the background blurred at the same time.

If the situation remains unchanged after the recent iOS 26.1 update, you may want to send feedback, (or a feature request) to reach those who work on the software behind-the-scenes at Apple. You could include a link to this post, if you wish.
