Updated to macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 but the update is still showing?
I have updated to 15.7.2 3 times now and after restarting it still shows the software update waiting to install?
any tips on how to clear the waiting update?

Quit System Settings.
Shut Down and Startup in Safe Mode.
Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
Restart Normally and recheck System Settings > Software Update.

Greetings all,
Thanks again for the advice.
Could only reboot in Safe Boot.
I restarted the install and it hung at the "30 minute remaining" stage which seems to be a common issue(?)
Restarted a couple more times and then went to Activity Monitor and looked for any "Update" processes.
There were what seemed multiple similarly name processes.
Killed what i could, one was stubborn and wouldn't die, and also had a "mobilesoftwareupdater" process which when killed restarted a process for an iphone software download and install
Had success for now with System Settings showing software up to date and a green tick.
Only beta's I found in the System Informtion / Installations were for MacOS Monterey and Ventura.
All is currently stable and OK.
I'll add comments back here is anything further happens to change the Software Update status.
Thanks again.
I think Owl-53 has diagnosed the issue!
You have some mixture of beta OS installed and while we are not allowed to discuss Apple's beta program in these Discussions, Apple does provide instructions for deactivating its beta OS when you have that running on your Mac.
To verify if Betas have been installed
Finder >> Go >> Utilities >> System Information
Launch System Information
On Left Panel scroll down to " Installations "
On Right Panel look for entries listed as macOS
Refer image below
No doubt, had there been Betas installed
Somewhere in a macOS listing the word Beta would be appended to the name
Follow the advise from my colleague @den.thed >> first
Still no resolve
I can not directly speak to Beta Testing
But something seems off
On macOS 26.1 the setting in System Update appear different than yours
The Beta Update appears with the OFF designation where as your do not
Yours
Mine
Thanks everyone for the advice. I will try this evening when i get some time to test and provide some feedback. FYI,Ii haven't installed any beta updates for Sequoia (or Sonoma?) so not sure if that makes a difference.
