Contacts note changes between Edit and Done

Have up dated my medical insurance for 2026. Go to the contact which is already there. Edit the 'Note' portion, click 'Done' and it reverts back. Click 'Edit' and it reverts to the changes I had just made. Click 'Done', and it changes back again. etc. etc. etc.

When the 'Edit' button is clicked, the 'Notes' section is that same as the display on my iPhone. Which is correct.

But on my Mac, open Contacts, and it is the old information unless I click 'Edit'.

if you are using the option in iCloud for "Contacts.app" and it is a sync issue— toggle it off and back on.

if you do not sync through iCloud— leave it unchecked ( ie off)

Typically however to sort sync issues the go to way—

Sign out of your Apple ID/Account /iCloud on the Mac and back in again and compare your results

Tim needs to go back to Steve's philosophy. Build what the people want and need, and the money will follow. All the 'Small' operating issues across all the platforms is leaps and bounds more that we used to have. Maybe Tim is building Apple to make money, forgetting Apples motto "They just work".

I remember Steve's philosophy much different as he famously said:

“Some people say, "Give the customers what they want." But that's not my approach. Our job is to figure out what they're going to want before they do. I think Henry Ford once said, "If I'd asked customers what they wanted, they would have told me, 'A faster horse!'" People don't know what they want until you show it to them. That's why I never rely on market research. Our task is to read things that are not yet on the page.”

And don't forget the issue with the iPhone 4s and signal dropping where the Steve's conclusion was that the user was holding it wrong. The actual quote is here:

"Non issue. Just avoid holding it in that way."

Not sure why people gravitate towards saying Steve Jobs would have done it much differently or the phrase commonly seen here is that he would be rolling over in his grave. I think Steve would be very proud of Tim taking Apple to a $4 trillion dollar valuation. You don't get to that place by producing products people do not want or buy. Don't get me wrong, Steve was a great asset to Apple and visionary, I just find it odd when people try to speak for him.
