Screenshots become burry after updating to macOS Tahoe

Hello. I am a graphic designer and recently I updated to macOS Tahoe. While working on a project in Affinity Designer 2, I took a screenshot of the gradient colors to use for my project (Image 1). When I opened it in Affinity Designer 2, the screenshot was blurry and sometimes unusable (Image 2). Is there a way to fix this or is this a glitch? Any help would be appreciated.

For now, you can work around the washed-out issue by changing how you save screenshots. Start a screenshot, click Options, and set Capture Format to HDR instead of SDR. The resulting HEIF file will be compatible with Affinity.

Looks like a possible color space/profile issue. What color space/profile are you using in Affinity? The screenshot will be in RGB/sRGB IEC61966-2.1.

Are both images at the same resolution? Note that depending on your display configuration, you may get a screenshot that is higher resolution than you expect because of the Retina display. For example, when I take a screenshot of my 5K:2K display that's set to 3360x1418 the output is double that since that's what the graphics engine is rendering.
