What is wrong with the multitasking?

You can disable most multitasking features by going to Settings ➜ Multitasking & Gestures and selecting the "Full Screen Apps" option instead of "Windowed Apps" or "Stage Manager".

Otherwise if you explain what issues you are having, someone may be able to help you reduce or work around the multitasking options.

I am having a problem also with the new iOS 26. I prefer the full screen apps on multitasking & gestures. After I set it, it works fine that day. The next morning sometime in the night, it resets back to windowed apps. I have tried several suggestions that I see on the internet like, set it for full windows and then do a hard reset the iPad, and it still resets sometime in the night. It is a little problem but I still would like for it to stay on the full windows option.
