Text replacement doesn't work in Safari on one iPad

We have 3 identical iPads at work (5th gen iPad Pro). All are set up identically, as far as I can tell - I spent about an hour poring over any settings I could find that were even tangential to this. All are updated as of my check this morning. We have some simple text replacements set up, and they seem to work as expected, except on one iPad they don't work in Safari. If I use the iPad next to it, they work without fail. This has been occurring for about a year, as far as I can remember.

Have I missed a setting, or is there something else that might account for the difference, and why it seems to only show in Safari?

If you haven;t seen it already: Apple support's online article (link below) may be helpful"

For iPadOS 26: Save keystrokes with text replacements on iPad - Apple Support

Eg: Above article explains how to 'Reset your personal dictionary',

If all else fails ... may be worth trying,

(You would have to set-up those simple text replacements you use again, though)

✽ Check whether there may be interference from any unnecessary third-party apps, like virus-checkers, ad-blockers, cleaners and he like (even VPN can cause issues.) If installed, try turning tem off, (or use uninstallers from thir developers) and see if that helps.

✽ Browser extensions can also cause issues: see if turning off any can help

✽ Also: Any third-party apps that you find necessary, need to be kept up-to-date with the newest version, so they don't cause incompatibility issues.
