Hi david267.
Re: "Voice Control Dictation Mode not recognizing commands : I can dictate using Voice Control,
but when I ask "Select [text]" or "Correct [text]" I get "[text] not found!"
"This is the issue on my desktop and my MacBook with Tahoe 26.0.1
and I'm using the built in mic, Air Pods, and a USB microphone."
Three things come to mind, so am wondering which of them, if any, may be most helpful
(1) If you haven't already: Updating to MacOS 26.1 may (or may not) help. May be worth a try,
(Reminder: It is always wise to back-up Mac first, if you choose to update the MacOS version: )

(2) Am no expert myself, and you may be one already, ... or a beginner. We have no way of knowing.
Wondering if you'd like to learn some alternatives for things that don't seem to work in the moment.
Eg: how to "move" the cursor to the correct position and say "Select the next (or previous) word"
There's a third-party (non-Apple) video online that may be helpful to those with vision. The video has a lot of great tips, if one can be patient enough to dodge (or relax through) any adverts, and anything with which you are already familiar.
Mastering Voice Control Dictation On Your Mac

Eg: Around 7.30 min into the 14.32 min video ... Use of he "Select" command is demonstrated.
Around 8.40 min you can watch tips how to "move" the cursor where it is wanted

(3) If you use MacOS 26.1 already, and have discovered a "bug" in Voice Control:
you may want to send feedback to reach those who work on the software behind-the-scenes at Apple. If others have the same issue, and Apple gets to see which Macs are affected, we will likely see it addressed in a future update.
To provide feedback about an accessibility feature on an Apple product,
you can email the Accessibility team: accessibility@apple.com
All the best :-)
