M5 MacBook Pro with 2 Dell P2720DC monitors not daisy chaining
Hello,
I just received my new M5 MacBook Pro. This is my first MacBook after a long time and the first I want to connect to my current set-up. My old laptop was a Dell XPS.
My current set up are two P2720DC monitors from Dell. They are configured to daisy chain via DP out - DP in (Described on page 28 https://dl.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_electronics_accessories/esuprt_electronics_accessories_monitor/esuprt_monitor_p_series/dell-p2720dc-monitor_user's-guide_en-us.pdf). But I don't get daisy chaining working. I can connect to the "Hub" monitor via USB-C, the new monitor is attached and is working. MacBook is charging. So far so good. Problem begins with the second monitor. It is just showing the same output as the first monitor, no new monitor. Also just one external monitor is visible in the MacBook settings.
Can I get this set-up to work? If so, does anyone know how to configure this? I don't want to use two USB-C cables.
