Videos on WhatsApp now not playing after I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp

I have an iPhone 13 mini and I uninstalled then reinstalled WhatsApp because of another issue. Following this all the videos in my chat history which worked previously on WhatsApp didn’t work. I’ve tried all advice from WhatsApp but no success. Interestingly I checked WhatsApp on my laptop and videos in my chat history all play fine.

Any new videos I receive or send play fine since reinstalling WhatsApp-it’s only those prior to reinstalling which aren’t now working.

I’ve attached photo of a section of chat history-those which are corked in blue are videos I’ve sent and then the one circled in red was sent to me. When I click on both types the videos, which used to play, don’t play.

What can I do please?

I have contacted WhatsApp and I’ve tried everything they suggested with no success…As I can see the videos from my chat history on my laptop I thought the issue may be something to do with my iPhone- as you can see from screen shot, the videos are showing in the chat history but just not playing…

Videos sent and received since the reinstalling of WhatsApp have played fine…

Can anyone help please

I’ve tried to get WhatsApp support the only way I can see on their website-through an AI generated support which hasn’t been able to resolve my issue.

I’ve asked to speak with a real person but apparently that’s not possible.

I’ve emailed but as yet had no reply…

Any suggestions please of how else I can contact for help or how to find a WhatsApp forum-thanks
