Mail on Mac not working with non-iCloud accounts

my macmail with my non cloud account nor my me mail account is not working. Haven't been able to rebuild.

Did you use the Connection Doctor(?)

Mail.app>Window>Connection Doctor


Are those accounts showing green (connected to the server.) ?


If not I would query the email provider to see if there is a known server issue.


IMAP is receiving mail server (ie Inbox)

SMTP is sending server (ie Sentbox)



Mail issues—


Open Mail.app from the menu bar select Mail>Settings>Privacy and disable:

• Protect Mail Activity

• Hide IP address

• Block all remote content


compare your results, reboot if necessary.

If no resolve see:

—if you are using Hide My email—try disabling this feature and compare your results...

Set up and use Hide My Email in iCloud+ on all your devices - Apple Support


—if you are using iCloud Private Relay on Mac - Apple Support try disabling this feature and compare your results...

Note: Zoom seems to be affected w/ private relay…
