How do I empty the calendar invite suggestion cache

Hello, when adding invitees to an event, Apple Calendar always shows me a list of suggested contacts. However, many of these are old contact addresses that have changed, and it doesn't seem to 'remember' any of the new addresses I enter. For example, it keeps suggesting my work email from a previous job, which isn't even saved in my Contacts app anymore. But won't suggest my current work address, which is saved in the Contacts app.

Is there a way to get rid of all these obsolete suggestions?

Something similar happens on the ios Calendar app too, but at least it shows me suggestions actually saved in my Contacts first, and a list of 'random' suggestions out of nowhere below...

Be sure to think thru this response.... Another response suggested deleting an event tied to the contact. Google AI gives this answer:

To clear your Apple Calendar's suggestion cache, use Settings > Calendar > Advanced and click the "Remove all recent locations and attendees" button on a Mac. On an iPhone, you can toggle Siri Suggestions for Calendar off and then on again to reset the list of invitees. If you have an issue with specific spam invites, delete the calendar subscription they came from.

Clear on a Mac

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Go to the main menu bar and select Settings (or Preferences on older systems).
  3. Click on the Advanced tab.
  4. At the bottom of the window, click "Remove all recent locations and attendees".

Sometimes google gives good answers and hopefully this is one of them
