Apple Pencil (second generation) Not Working
My Apple Pencil just isn’t working. It’s connected and fully charged. When I take the pencil off, it still shows charged in the widget so I don’t think it’s a dead battery. It just doesn’t actually work when I put it to the screen.
I have tried:
- tightening the tip
- cleaning the inside
- unpairing and re-pairing
- restarting iPad and pairing
- cleaning the iPad screen
- Unpairing, force restart, and pair again
and nothing has worked. I don’t think the tip or the metal part inside are damaged, at least not visibly. It acted like this a few months ago and the last bullet did work, but it just stopped working after a few hours and I had to do it all over again. Now even force-restarting does not work.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue. I’ve had the pencil for a while now and it was gifted so I don’t think I have a warranty and I would rather not purchase a new one as these accessories are quite pricey.
