renew Apple music subscription with different email than original setup

I haven’t had the subscription for a while, but decided to start using it again. Problem is, my old account has an email address set up with it that I am no longer able to access. Will I be able to add my new email address before initial submission to the subscription? I don’t want to pay for it and not be able to use it because I can’t verify through email or something. I would also like to get my songs I purchased and download.
