Spotlight Indexing Issue MacOS 26

Since downloading Mac OS 26 I cannot index Spotlight, I've tried removing and then re-adding my HD in Spotlight Privacy and also tried using terminal to force an index, with no luck. It shows its indexing and then when completed nothing can be found when searching. I have relied on this in the past so very frustrating thus any help valued.

Copy/Paste this into Terminal. sudo will ask for your password. Just type the password and hit return. It won't show anything on screen. Those three commands essentially nuke all the Spotlight records then force a reindex.

sudo mdutil -X /; sudo mdutil -i on /; sudo mdutil -E /

Make sure that System Settings > Spotlight is set to show results from Documents and Folders (probably you want Apps, too).

Also note that you can use the search box in any Finder window to search for files.
