How do I fix loud noise during video calls on MacBook Air?

along with BobTheFisherman's reply, I would recommend using headphones so your mic doesn't "hear" the sounds coming from your speakers.

What type of noise? If they are hearing an echo feedback then as others have suggested use earphones. The issue is that the other person is hearing their own voice feedback out your speakers and back into your Mic. Even if you use an external mike if it is not a dynamic cardioid design the issue will remain. If they are hearing something else then please clarify.

First, exactly which Macbook Air SUB-MODEL do you have, from "About this Mac...":

I ask because Intel Macbook Airs have cooling fans and M-series do not.

Can you detect a noise while using the computer?

Are you using the computer's built-in microphone or a separate mic?
