My AirPods A3047 and replacement A3048 considered as different generations

My airpods say that they are model A3047, and when I decided to buy a replacement for the left side (which i assume is A3048), it won't let me connect them because its says that they are different generations. I did all my research to ensure I was buying the correct one and that my model A3047 is second generation but now it's saying it's first generation? Please send some help

Did you buy the replacement AirPod from Apple?

Did you follow the steps in this article to set them up?

Set up your replacement AirPods or charging case - Apple Support

If yes, then you should contact the official Apple Support about that:
