How to fix 'homeenergyd quit unexpectedly' and 'Mail Library cannot be read' on M1 Mac mini after downgrading from macOS Tahoe to macOS Sequoia?
Since downgrading from Tahoe to Sequoia, my M1 MacMini has developed two issues:
- I get this popup repeatedly: "homeenergyd quit unexpectedly"
- Whe I try to open Mail, I get this popup: "Mail Library cannot be read because its format requires a newer version of macos. Upgrade your Mac to a newer version of macOS to use Mail."
How to I fix both of these independent problems?
THe downgrade to Sequoia was accomplished by wiping the MacMini drive and reinstalling Sequoia. Migration assistant was used to reinstall backup. However, backup had been made while Tahoe was installed.
