Tahoe 26.1 causing a 30% decrease in performance on MacBook Pro.

Tahoe update has cause an at least 30% decrease in speed on my Macbook Pro. As someone who is a commercial designer and uses Adobe software. This 30% decrease in speed feels more like 50%.

Already cleared my caches, cleared up some disk space, but the lag and slowness still continues. It is most evident when starting up the Macbook. Widgets take much longer to load up, and finder is so slow to get going (when you open it, it takes at least 2 minutes before you can click the folders on the side menu).

Sounds like a conflict with a 3rd party extension.

See if the problem is present when you boot in safe mode, which disables 3rd party extensions and performs some system cleanup.

My M4 Pro MacBook Pro has no slowdowns, including with Adobe apps (mainly Photoshop, occasionally Illustrator).
