How to get Apple Intelligence - Apple Support

says Vietnamese is available to use on iPhone:

"With iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS 26.1, Apple Intelligence features are available in most regions around the world on compatible iPhone".

See how to: Use Live Translation on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Use Live Translation on iPhone : ... Communicate across different languages in real time.

Turn on Apple Intelligence

  1. Update your iPhone and make sure it's compatible with Apple Intelligence.
  2. Go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri, and turn on Apple Intelligence.

Live Translation runs entirely on device when you use it in Messages, Phone app, FaceTime, and withAirPods, which ensures that your conversations stay private.

Apple Intelligence uses generative models and outputs may vary. Check important information for accuracy."

What else you can do:

Seems Vietnamese is available for the translate app

Eg: says:

"You can select any text to translate in apps such as Safari, Messages, Mail, supported third-party apps, and more. When you enter text on your iPhone, you can even replace what you wrote with a translation."

Eg: says:

"On iPhone, you can use the camera view in the Translate app to translate text around you—for example, a restaurant menu or street signs. You can also translate text in photos from your photo library.

"You can customize your preferences for the Translate app in Settings. Download languages, use On-Device Mode, or choose a different default translation app.

Download languages

To use the translate feature when you’re not connected to the internet,

you need to download both the input and output languages.

  1. Go to the Settings app  on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Apps, then tap Translate.
  3. Tap next to the languages you want to download."

NB: All of the above articles have much more info. that may be helpful

All the best with your trip to Viet Nam!
