Notifications in WatchOS 26.1 reduced functionality

One of the greatest benefits of Apple Watch since the first iteration has been that you can glance notifications easily just by looking at the watch when notified that a new notifications has arrived.

But that is not the case anymore. In WatchOS 26.1 you instead get a logo from the sending party and you then have to press the screen of the watch to read the notification. Why?

This reduces the funtionality of the watch. I’ve previously always told people around me that one of the greatest advantages wearing a Apple Watch is not having to pull up the Iphone every time a noticfiation arrives.

So again, why fix something that’s not broken?
