Can’t see shared activity on fitness app

Why can’t I see my daughters (adult) activity on the fitness app. It connects initially after accepting the invite but then doesn’t update. I’ve updated both my iPhone and watch to the latest version, and I’ve unpaired and paired them again, and I’ve reset everything, consequently losing the last 2 years of data from the fitness and health apps, despite having backed it up to iCloud. She can see her other friends but not me.
