I've bought an AppleTV sub, and I have no problem viewing my programme on my 27" iMac, but I can't stream the same series on my iPad. It's running OS 10.15.2 so should be okay. I sign in but the sign in won't work... just goes 'round in circles after selecting the area (Australian) without working.

Are you using the AppleTV App on your iPad? If both your Mac computer and iPad are signed-in to iCloud with the same Apple Account (formerly known as an AppleID) - with the same region settings - both your Mac and iPad should be able to access your AppleTV subscription.
If you continue to experience difficulties, for expedience, you would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Thanks for your reply. I don't use 'icloud'. (I think it's ridiculous to pay to keep my data on someone else's computer!)
I didn't need to download the AppleTV app on my iMac, just needed to sign in to my normal Apple account. Perhaps I missed it, but I wasn't required to download the app when I took out the Apple TV Subscription, and it works fine on my iMac. Just won't let me sign in, using the same account on my MacBook (sorry I erroneously referred to "iPad" earlier, but it's a MacBook I need to get AppleTV subscription working on).

My iMac runs os 10.13 High Sierra. and Apple TV works well -without having the Apple TV app.
The Macbook however doesn't, that is the problem.
