Screen recording no longer captures WhatsApp call audio

I noticed that the screen recording feature no longer records the audio of WhatsApp calls. What are people who have family in other countries and would like to record special calls supposed to do? If the concern was privacy, a simple opt-in warning to both parties would have sufficed. Is there a solution for this?
