Turn Off "Fill Code From Messages" feature?

How do I turn this "Fill code From Messages" popup "feature" off? It's populating in fields in programs that don't need it (Affinity, Excel, Numbers.....) and it's disrupting the workflow.

Thank you

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Text Message Forwarding and turn off your Mac (note that this will disable all SMS forwarding, not just 2FA codes).

You can turn off all autofill activity in System Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords:

I don't know of a way to just disable 2FA codes from being autofilled (though you can control the automatic deletion of filled codes in the settings pane above).

To have Apple consider your feedback (e.g., to request a control toggle for it), submit it here:

I am also a bit annoyed by the autofill prompt that I see sometimes from Mail even after the code was used and automatically deleted. I'll live.

Reverting to Sequoia is not simple. You need to boot into Recovery OS, erase your internal drive, then install the older macOS, then restore from a backup made prior to the Tahoe upgrade. Even then, the firmware on the Mac may have been updated, meaning potential conflicts and a possible need for DFU mode and a Configurator revive/restore, which would need to be done via another Mac connected to yours. If that sounds complicated and risky, then you're assessing the situation correctly.
