Why does this icon look like this?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 26.1
What icon?
Look like what?
Are you referring to the application A in the dotted square?
Or the one for Keyboard Brightness?
The A in the dotted square means the actual icon could not be loaded so its using a default one.
The only correct icon there is the one for the keyboard.
The icon cache may be corrupted and icons cannot be read and loaded. Try restarting your Mac and opening the control center editor again.

I suspect the OP may be referring to the white dot in the upper right.
My guess it is could be a Liquid Glass artifact. Some image underneath has a bright white dot and the new operating system is letting it shine through.
If it is Liquid Glass, here are adjustments to make at Settings > Accessibility > Display & text size:
Reduce transparency
Increase contrast
Change white points
I wonder if the OP means this icon in the menubar:
Isn't that the Adobe Creative Cloud icon?
Some orientation, please.
what pane are we looking at?
