A couple questions about 4th gen AirPods?

I currently have Beats Solo but when I use them in the cold (below freezing), they conk out and stop working (the Bluetooth).

I am wondering if anyone who uses the 4th gen AirPods ever had the same issue when it’s below freezing?

My second question is about the fit. I have very tiny ear canals and have tried on many different types of earbuds (wireless and not) and they fall out or don’t fit at all. The ones that DID fit were the OG earbuds that came with old iPhones and iPods. Does the 4th fit similarly at all? I won’t be able to try them on before purchase or return them if they don’t fit. I don’t mind if I have to wear something like a toque over to keep them in, but I’d rather not.
