iPhone 14 Pro: Stuttering & battery drain after iOS 26.1

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my iPhone 14 Pro (128 GB) after updating to iOS 26.1. Whenever I swipe from the main Home Screen to the widget screen, the animation is noticeably stuttering. It looks like a small drop in frame rate and the transition simply isn’t smooth.

For a Pro model that’s not even that old, this is something I’ve never experienced before with Apple devices. It feels like the system isn’t rendering the animation properly after the update.

On top of that, my battery life has dramatically decreased since installing iOS 26.1. The phone drains much faster even during light use.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

If so, is there any known workaround? And how should I properly report this to Apple so they can fix it in a future update? I know downgrading back to iOS 18 isn’t possible anymore, so I’m stuck with this version for now.

Any help, guidance, or confirmation from other users would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The useful information you need to provide is:

What is your Battery Health percentage at Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Maximum Capacity?
What are you apps consuming the battery? Post a screenshot of Settings > Battery that shows your green battery graph and the top apps consuming your battery.
Do you have Low Power Mode turned on?
