Mac Mini M4 not working with HP dock G2 for display

I have a Mac Mini M4 and connecting a LG34" display via HDMI or USB-C, both are working fine. Also working fine via HDMI on a hub extender Lenovo/Benfei on a thunderbolt port on the Mac Mini.

I also have an HP dock G2 (HP USB-C/A G2) for work. This is working fine with my HP Laptop. On the Mac Mini, my Jabra and Webcam connected on the the G2 are well recognized, but impossible to connect the monitor to the Mac Mini thunderbolt via the HP dock G2. I have tried the HDMI, the DisplayPort and the USB-C connected to the G2 with all combination possible but none are working.

Any idea of the issue ? Is the problem on the HP dock G2 or on the Mac Mini ?

Using Google Translate on that link indicates that this is a "HP Universal USB-C/A Docking Station G2 (5TW13AA)". The description mentions DisplayLink, a second-class "workaround" technology which does not take advantage of first-class, hardware-accelerated video output … and which would require the installation of a special driver on your computer in order to get any signal on outputs that the docking station drives in that way.

I don't know if there are any conditions under which the G2 might use hardware video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) to drive a display, but if you have tried "all combination[s] possible" and are not getting any signal, that would seem to indicate that the only video outputs are DisplayLink-based ones.

FYI, although HP's page makes references to Thunderbolt, I do not believe that this is a Thunderbolt device at all.
