Apple Vision Pro M5 Crush randomly and black out instantaneously, Bug 210, panic-full, ISP_R, possibly due to R1 chip

Apple Vision Pro M5 crushes and restarts randomly without any time delay (30 second delay for the pass through never happen). Have already returned and exchanged twice under advise by apple phone support thinking this is hardware related and i was just bad luck. One of the previous unit crushes 6 times in two days right after received the unit from UPS , reset it with a clean set up didn't help. The latest replacement i picked up from apple store crushed twice under similar error code but less frequent (twice in 4 days). Logs indicates bug_type"210" Panic-full and control Panic - ISP_R. After googling, it suggest that it's R1 chip related and highly likely due to hardware issue. All unit had xrOS 26.1.

many times the crush happened when no app is running (i'm just wearing it using the passthrough mode only). Apple support couldn't help mush, they ran the diagnostics and all sensors are reported to be working properly according to them. one of the first lady from the apple support says I need to be able to recreate the issue during the call with them so that they can escalate it to engineering team. But this thing happens so randomly and basically create a blackout right away, lucky I'm don't drive with it on or perform any time critical tasks.

Please help! attached are two of the panic log from my current unit's crush log.

I really love the AVP and want to keep it. But it is a very costly item and I don't want to keep a unit with faulty hardware. I'm still within the 14 days return window. Any help is appreciated. want to know if this is software related or hardware issue.

Your log there shows the ISP_R problem too. I don’t think genius bar will help much as they will need you to be able to recreate the problem. And these logs are more for Apple AVP engineers to review. But the genius bar do have access to the developer strap, which may give you the opportunity to downgrade the firmware to a previous version to try. Which may help ruling out firmware/software issues.

I just experienced this myself three times this morning! I have a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow at noon to get official support, but I know Apple reads these forums so please take my data point for your debug. This has happened a couple of times in the past as well, but I chalked it up to general system instabilities. All three show the same bug_type (210). I'm only sharing a bit because I'm hitting character limits but I'm happy to send more.
