I lost the finder location on my Mac air 2025. was trying to do some decluttering and hit the incorrect key. It has disappeared and I can't find it. Tried doing an old backup but that didn't put the finder back together again. Kinda like Humpty Dumpty

Finder is always at the left side (or top) of the Dock. You can't lose it.
Say more about what you think you've lost.
Go to Finder. Press Command-tab repeatedly until it highlights Finder, select Finder. Then open Settings (under the Finder menu in the upper left of the Finder screen) and select the Sidebar tab. Then check and/or uncheck the items you want to be displayed, including under Locations.
Thanks, that clarifies what was probably missing. Also, Locations itself has an 'invisible' expansion caret that appears if you hover over the correct spot at the right edge.
If that is clicked, it 'rolls up' all the locations under it and you have to click it again to reveal them.
