Tahoe 26.1 no longer displays low battery notifications

MacBook Pro, Tahoe 26.1. I no longer see any low battery notifications, and have been unable to find any way to add them within Apple. I have set battery status and percentage to show on the menu bar, but sometimes I don't look at it for a while, only to discover the percentage is narrowly low. On Sequoia I used to see a permanent pop up notification when it got as low as 12%. I would like to have that back. Is there any way to do that?

The threshold for notifications is now lower, but you will see them when your battery gets to (IIRC) 10%.

It's ironic, because there have been complaints that the notifications are persistent and annoying with Tahoe:

You can also use 3rd party utilities like iStat Menus to set customized warning(s).
