There used to be "recents" and "favorites" tabs at the bottom of the screen in the phone app on my iPhone 13 mini, running iOS 26.1 - what happened to them. I searched online about this issue and all the advice was to power off and restart, and if that didn't work then reset. I tried all of that and nothing changed.

Just tap the button with the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner and select Classic view. Then you will get the favorites and recent tabs back in the bottom menu.
