How to isolate system sounds from Phonak Audeo hearing aids on iPhone?

Has anyone been able to isolate the system sounds (phone calls, text, FaceTime, notifications) from their Phonak Audeo hearing aids. I’m having to revert to shortcuts to get what I need but all we need is a toggle button. I really want the ability to hear the videos I watch but keep all system sounds out my head. I’m getting tired of this and I thought by now apple would have done something about this since I keep saying it within the beta

@appledevs please allow us to route system sounds to the phone and not our hearing aids. MFi you can do that, but all “MFi hearing” have proven to not be in the right frequency range for me to hear everything. But I’m getting tired of hearing all sounds in my head, and your tech keep telling me to turn off all sounds which is not a viable solution.

Yes it was a copy and paste. But apple support is pretty useless at this point. They have always told me to just turn off notifications completely. I need this to be an option for when it's connected via Bluetooth

Settings --> Bluetooth --> Hearing Aids --> "Change device type" and set to "Hearing Aids" and then it gives an option for sounds being played on hearing device.

They are non-MFi hearing aids. There is no options for this. The last time I have done a MFi hearing aid they were not able to get the frequency I need to hear. I have a significant hearing loss and none of the MFi are able to come close to Phonak.

When I had the starkey it was working great, I was able to isolate the system sounds to the phone, and only use the bluetooth connection when I was watching videos.

Apple Devs need to add this for all bluetooth not just MFi

This audiologist blog has more insights on Phonak, non-MFi Hearing Aids.

take a look at

settings > accessibility > Hearing devices.

with My Resound MFI hearing aids, iPhone software shows on-off sliders for:

Play ringtones

Play system Sounds

... and a sub menu for Audio Routing that shows choices:

Call audio

Media audio

The main way I change additional settings for different situations, such as regular, hear-in-Noise, Outdoors, Music, TV streamer and make changes to volume and noise reduction etc are offered through the resound Smart 3-D App.

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a

physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

you can't be sure that anyone employed at apple will ever hear your view on that

so if it was me then I would try their feedback channel
