How do I verify the legitimacy of an account cancellation threat and access all my photos in iCloud?

This is frustrating!!!!!!

I keep getting threats to cancel my account because of non payment. The threat comes with a webaddress but I don't trust going to a site that I don't recognize, to verify if is a scam.

It took me 20-30. mins. to get to my account and add a payment source and it is already there. What gives

I can't see all my pictures.

My ex-husband told me to put all my put all my picture in the cloud but I can't get to all the pictures I put there from 2019.

Is my account ok???????

If you entered your Apple Account and password into a website provided by the scammers (and don’t have two-factor authentication enabled), the account is now compromised. You need to change that password immediately.
