iPad A16 lagging

Hello everyone, i bought first ipad A16 just for a one game, and the game is hill climb racing 2. The ipad is very laggy, sometimes is unplayable and i have to restart device to run smoothly. I also play this game on my ip 11 pro and i never experienced any lag, it runs so smoothly. The game is 8 years old, so on the paper it should not be that hard for ipad this generation to run it smoothly like ip 11. Is it possible that i got ipad with some kinda error-issue?

Hey, personally I have not tried the game before, but you can try downloading other similar games and if this was the only game that lags, it probably comes down to one conclusion which is that the game developer did not optimize their game for your iPad model/iPad, meaning there's nothing you can do other than giving them a feedback. Though, do make sure that the App is up to date, and also your iPad being up to date.

There are still several ways you can do to investigate whether this was your device's issue or not:

Ask a friend who has an iPad (preferably the same model) to try downloading and running the game and see if the issue persist. I would suggest maybe trying on an iPad A16 that is still running iOS 18.
Erase iPad - Apple Support (This is not recommended, but you can give it a try if you really think that your iPad is the main cause
