iPhone 17 Pro Max with no mmWave antenna: Is it still supported?

I bought an iPhone 17 pro max and on the website of the seller they mentioned that it supports 5g mmWave.

When I received the phone I found out that there's no antenna on the top of it.

The seller is saying that it still supports mmWave. I think they are wrong but they aren't ready to admit.

But the seller is insisting that it supports and one of them even said "for the new iPhone 17 its integrated in the camera control button"

I don't care what the seller said to get you to open your wallet. If you didn't buy your phone in the US, manufactured for the US, you don't have a phone which supports mmWave. I'm not aware of any other country which even supports mmWave transmission, so I'm not sure why this would be important to you, anyway? I live in the US and mmWave is built into my iPhone and I've never been in a location yet, which even accessed it. It's VERY short range and primarily used in Stadiums or Airports where there may be a LOT of people trying to use 5G service.

If it's really important to you have an iPhone which supports mmWave, return your phone for refund, hop on a plane and come to the US to buy your phone. Of course such a phone purchased in the US won't have warranty outside of the US, but it would be the only way you could buy an iPhone with mmWave. And a US purchased new iPhone would be eSim only, with no physical SIM card slot.

You can trust lobsterghost1 over any seller with a commission to earn.

if you don't live in USA you don't get the antenna and you don't get the signal anyway.

Where do you live?
