Why can’t I see connected devices on Personal Hotspot (iOS 26 – iPhone 17 Pro Max)?

Hi, I’m having an issue with Personal Hotspot on my iPhone. I can see that devices are connecting to the hotspot, but I cannot view the actual list of connected devices anywhere in iOS.

Here’s what’s happening:

In Control Center, the Personal Hotspot tile shows “2 Connections,” but long-pressing the tile does nothing.

Tapping the tile only turns the hotspot off — it doesn’t open any details.

In Settings → Personal Hotspot, there is no list of connected devices, only the basic toggles and hotspot password.

This behavior is consistent — I never see the device names like older versions of iOS used to show.

My setup:

  • iPhone 17 Pro Max
  • iOS 26
  • Carrier: T-Mobile
  • Devices connecting: MacBook + iPad (confirmed)

I’m trying to confirm which devices are actually connected and whether anything else might be joining the hotspot, but iOS 26 doesn’t seem to display this information anywhere.

My questions:

  1. Is this a known issue with iOS 26?
  2. Did Apple remove the ability to view connected hotspot devices?
  3. Is there a hidden location where this information is displayed now?
  4. Is this a bug with the new UI in iOS 26?

Thanks for any help — just trying to figure out whether this is expected behavior or something wrong with my device.
