ipod gen 6, not working at all.

my ipod gen 6 will not turn on at all, i even tried charging it and troubleshooting it. but it shows no sign of working at all, just a pitch black screen. it doesnt even show the battery life signal.

iPhone 14 Plus, iOS 18

Are you sure that the charger is working? Things to check:

  • is the wall charger working? Will it charge anything else?
  • is the cable that you're using to connect the iPod to the charger working? Is the cable in good condition? If the cable is damaged, that can cause it to stop working
  • check that the dock connector (where the charging cable plugs into the iPod) does not have dust or dirt in it. If it does, very (very) carefully, remove the dust, preferably by blowing air in there. Avoid sharp or metal things and do not use any liquid


Of course, it may be that the battery has reached the end of its life and is no longer capable of accepting a charge.
