Hotspot issue on iPhone 17

I just got a new iPhone 17. Every time I connect my Nintendo Switch to the hotspot to play Fortnite it boots me out halfway through the game. i just upgraded from an iPhone 12 and it never gave me this issue. Is there a fix for this? I’ve reset my network and turned my phone off and back on without success. It’s running iOS 26.0.1. There is an update available to 26.1 but I’m afraid to install it and make things worse.
