Delete the Mail.app and reinstall it or you could also try to OffLoad it (This removes the app but keeps its documents and data (like your account settings and synced emails), then reinstall the app.
Have deleted the Mail app from my iPhone and reinstalled, without success. As an aside, I have successfully deleted my old BT email account on all my devices. However, when I open a new email on my iPhone and start to type an email to myself, the old cached BT email comes up on the prompt (all my email accounts start news4m...., including iCloud). Deleting and reinstalling the Mail app has not fixed it . Also, I have unsuccessfully tried numerous other suggestions from ChatCPT.

Not much I can suggest other than editing you contacts and that would include yourself and starting over.
Thanks for trying. Have already cleared Contacts. Must be an IOS26 problem. Managed to clear the email cache on my Mac OS26, but have failed on my iPhone
