I'm having trouble getting my Apple AirPods Pro 3 to pair with my iPad (OS26). All the instructions say to reset them with the button on the back, but there is no button. What do I do now? (I'm new to Apple products and am finding it difficult to figure them out.)

Otherwise, do you have another Apple device such as an iPhone or Mac? You can pair your AirPods on any of these devices. The AirPods then operate on all your devices, including your iPad.
Let's make sure your AirPods are paired.
Wear your AirPods, go to Settings; do you see your AirPods right below your Account name? If so, tap your AIrPods and tap Hearing Assistance. Then follow the directions here: Use the Hearing Aid feature on your AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods Pro 3 - Apple Support.
Try also to wear your AirPods and play some music to confirm that they are operating properly.
Thanks for your response. No, the iPad is my only Apple device. One of the things I bought it for was to use the AirPods with it as hearing aids. The iPad recognizes the AirPods when I open the case, but when I go to the Accessibility menu to pair them, it just fails.
