Freezing issues with 26.1

Is anyone else having issues with the iPhone 17 pro max after updating to 26.1 with some apps freezing

It may not only be the app itself that is causing issues here, but it may be the iOS. How so? If it’s only a few apps the problem is with the apps, not iOS so an update isn’t going to fix it. Contact the app developer, and if you have VPN installed remove it completely.

Thank you for your input. Yes, I have restarted several times and still the same issues. It is only a few apps that freeze. I’m hoping that the next update will help. If not I will take my phone in to get checked out.

Almost certainly. With hundreds of millions of iPhones with 26.1 no matter what problem you have won’t be the only one. But knowing that won’t help solving your specific problem. Have you done any troubleshooting? For example:

What apps specifically?
Is there any pattern?
Is it only apps from a single provider, such as Facebook/Insta/WhatsApp/Messenger?
The same ones every time, or randomly with all apps?
Have you restarted your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
Have you force-restarted the apps that have a problem? How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device.
